Transfer Students
We’re excited that you’re considering Mount de Sales Academy. Transfer applications are accepted for grades 10 and 11 based on class availability. Potential transfer students should carefully consider their reasons for transferring and read our transfer process below.
- Candidates and their parents must understand and be fully committed to supporting the mission and vision of Mount de Sales Academy.
- Candidates must be in good academic, disciplinary, and financial standing at their previous institution.
Transfer applications are accepted March through June each year. The timeline for transfer admissions decisions is dependent on when all application materials are received by MDSA and the candidate interview is complete.

1. Inquire
Complete our inquiry form to gain access to the Sailor Portal admissions checklist. -
2. Visit
Experience a day as a Sailor and get to know our community. -
3. Apply & Submit Documents
Complete your MDSA application through the Sailor Portal by between March 1 and June 30. Transcripts, recommendations, and tuition assistance applications must also be submitted with application. -
4. Interview
Every applicant, accompanied by at least one parent/guardian, is required to complete an on-campus, in-person interview. Interviews are scheduled by the MDSA admissions office.

Transcripts
Mount de Sales must receive the most up-to-date student records from the current school year, as well as all records from the two previous years. This could include middle school records from eighth grade. Please reach out to your current school and ask for all required records to be sent to admissions@mountdesales.org.
Required items include: grades, attendance records, behavioral records, standardized test scores, and results of any academic, psychological, and emotional/behavioral testing.
Home School / Tutorial Applicants:
Students enrolled in a home school program that issues transcripts should sign and submit the Mount de Sales Request for Records form to the program after February 1. The program should send records directly to Mount de Sales. For students home schooling through local school district approval, the home educator must provide a list of courses, textbooks, and progress for all high school work, including the current year up to February 1. For students who do not earn numerical or letter grades, the home educator should provide a summary of the student’s progress for each class in each year. -
Recommendations
Two academic recommendations should be submitted directly to the MDSA admissions office. Recommendations should be completed by current teachers in core subjects (math, English, social science, science).
If the applicant is home-schooled: Two recommendation forms are required. Tutors, co-op teachers, and adults who have worked with the applicant in an instructional capacity may submit the recommendation form directly to the MDSA admissions office.
**All recommendations are confidential and should be sent from the recommender directly to Mount de Sales. Candidates must be in good academic, disciplinary, and financial standing at their previous institution. All acceptances are conditional upon the successful completion of current academic year. All decisions regarding the acceptance of a student into Mount de Sales Academy are done with the highest emphasis placed on what is in the best interest of the individual girl.
