Welcoming Our New Principal

Sister Ann Dominic Mahowald, O.P., has served in Catholic education for the past 15 years as both a teacher and administrator. Originally from Minnesota, she is the youngest of three children.

Her vocation to religious life developed at The Catholic University of America, where she earned her undergraduate degree in French and secondary education. After entering the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia in 2010, she pursued enrichment studies at Aquinas College and later earned a master’s degree in administration through Marymount University.

For the past six years, Sister Ann Dominic has served as Assistant Principal for Student Life and Discipline at Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School in the Arlington Diocese. She admires Mount de Sales’ rich tradition and faithful heritage and is grateful to be joining our community.
