Voices That Changed History: MDSA Performs Radium Girls

Last weekend, the Mount de Sales Theatre Program showcased the exceptional talent of both the MDSA girls and MSJ boys in the play Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory.

The amazing sets designed by Nat Johnson '26 were an impressive backdrop for telling the true, tragic—yet empowering—story of Grace Fryer (Zoe Evans '28), who challenged Aaron Roeder (Jimmy Flynn, MSJ junior)—a factory boss who forced girls to paint watch dials by licking paintbrushes laced with radium, leading to death and chronic illness among the young factory workers.

The level of skill and complexity displayed by these young theatre practitioners was extraordinary, making the show a tremendous success.
